Airport board to conduct special meeting Friday

Thursday, September 6, 2007

The Nevada Airport Board will conduct a special meeting at noon on Friday, Sept. 7, in the city hall conference room, 110 S. Ash, Nevada.

During the meeting, the board will hear a runway update and will review terminal design and specifications.

Concrete has been poured for the runway improvement, and on Tuesday the Nevada City Council gave the go ahead to the project by selecting a bid of $437,773 from Sprouls Construction to build the new terminal building.

The city has $399,900 in grant funds, and the remaining $37,873 is to be paid from a $250,000 STAR loan from the Missouri Department of Transportation.
