Benn posts running success at Allen County Comm. College

Mason Benn, a 2006 Nevada High School graduate, has enjoyed a tremendous fall of running cross country for Allen County Community College in Iola, Kan.

Benn ran the 8-K race in 27:58.04 to place 15th out 38 Eastern Division runners at the 2007 NJCAA Region VI Championships. This also allowed him to place 31st out of 73 runners for all of Region VI.

This past weekend, ACCC traveled to Rend Lake Community College in Ina, Ill., for the NJCAA National Championships.

Benn ran a 27:27.93 for a personal record time, which placed him 104th out of 261 runners.

The time places Benn in the top five for fastest times in ACCC school history.

Benn is attending ACCC on a cross country/track scholarship.±
