It's Christmas!

Dear editor:

We are in the beginning of the Christmas season, and we hear so much about this being a holiday, or "the holidays." We profane the name of our lord by calling Christmas the holidays.

The Fourth of July is a holiday, Memorial Day is a holiday, Labor Day is a holiday, Thanksgiving is a holiday, New Year's Day is a holiday but CHRISTMAS IS CHRISTMAS.

Christmas is a time of giving.

The gift, the greatest gift in the history of the universe, in heaven and earth, was given to us by the God of all creation.

God gave his son to us. He is the Christ, and the reason for Christmas.

He is the reason for the season. In his life on the earth he gave of himself, to preach, to heal the sick, perform miracles, and in the end, he gave himself, gave his life that we may be free.

The great freedoms we have in these United States, and our constitution was given to us, because he gave.

In this country, we are by majority Christians. CHRISTMAS a time of celebration and festival. Sharing, giving, and helping your neighbor.

So, please say this with me, everywhere you go --
