Hornets tackle Montrose in Lakeland tourney

The Hume Hornets beat Montrose in the Lakeland Tournament Wednesday night.

Clinton Irwin led the Hornets with 31 points and 12 rebounds as they took down Montrose 63-51. The Hornets went 15 for 21 from the free throw line and were aided by 4 treys in the victory, as well as logging 12 steals and 20 assists as a team. The win pushes Hume's overall record up to 7-2, with a conference record of 3-0.
