Vernon County Resource Share group facilitates teamwork between area groups, services

Organizations and businesses that offer assistance, programs and services to help ensure and enhance the lives of residents in Vernon County have an opportunity to get together with other providers in Vernon County to share awareness of their programs and learn of each other's services.

A luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, at the Nevada Elks Bingo Hall from 11:30 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m. The cost for the lunch is $5 per person and will be provided by the culinary arts students from the Service Edge Cafe in the Bowman Building.

Dr. Jeanne Loyd, assistant commissioner with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, will be the speaker for the event. Her topic will be "Partnering." After Loyd's presentation, each agency represented at the lunch will be given a brief opportunity to speak and share basic information about themselves. Tables will be set up for hand-out materials agencies may bring.
