Rich Johnson, 69, shot a hole-in-one Wednesday afternoon on the 11th hole of the Frank E. Peters golf course. Johnson hit a driver into the wind from 170 yards over water for the ace. It was Johnson's first hole-in-one. He was witnessed by Jo Poyzer.

"I thought, 'damn, it's going straight at the pin,'" Johnson said. "Then when it hit on the front of the green it rolled up on the front of the green and I thought, 'OK, I got par.' And then it got closer and I said, 'Maybe birdie.' Then all of the sudden there is no ball."
