Mary Wanda Prine

Mary Wanda Prine, 80, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, following an illness of several weeks. She was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Oklahoma to Tom Springer and Martha Greemore Springer. She married Jim Prine on Feb. 7, 1948, in Wheatland, Mo., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2006.

Mary was born and raised in Oklahoma. She lived in Kansas City for a short period and then moved to this area and spent the remainder of her life here. She worked for many years at Nelly Don and Junior House, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Square Dance Club.

Survivors include one son, James D. Prine and his wife Denise, Nevada; four grandchildren, Jennifer Prine, Archie, Mo., James Lee Prine, Nevada, Jessica Prine, Metz, and Jamie Lee Prine, Nevada; three stepchildren, Andrew Miller, Nevada, Lucas Miller, Milo, and Susan Miller, Milo. She was preceded in death by one child, Mary Elain Prine.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 5, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with David Rorabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
