In appreciation of community

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Nevada High School Athletic Department, I would like to thank all those who donated their time and expertise in putting on the All- Sports Physicals Night on May 19. Approximately 254 student athletes were able to take advantage of the free physicals provided at both the Middle School and High School. At a cost of $56 per exam, medical professionals, Nevada High School and Nevada Middle School coaches, and other school personnel donated close to $15,500 of time and expertise to this endeavor. Organizations represented included the Nevada Regional Medical Center Physical Therapy Department, the NRTC LPN class, the NRMC Rural Health Clinics and the Nevada Medical Clinic. I would also like to recognize individually the doctors that participated in the physicals: Dr. Robert Jones, Dr. F.L. Thompson, Dr. Jill Spangler, Dr.

Warren Lovinger, Dr. John Weaver, Dr. James Torontow, Dr. Jennifer Conley and Dr. Heather Russell.

In addition, a thank you is extended to Sonya Albright APRN, MSN and Jama Bogart APRN, MSN.

A special acknowledgement needs to go out to Dawn Jones, RN and Denise Nelson, BSN, RN who organized this event on behalf of the school district.
