Aug. 17

There were reports of a theft in the Sheldon area, a 911 hangup in the Sheldon area, a controlled burn in the Nevada area, a stranded motorist in the Nevada area, a found item in the Sheldon area, vandalism in the Fair Haven area, animal neglect in the Sheldon area, a stranded motorist in the Sheldon area, wanted person information in the Nevada area, cows out in the Sheldon area and a 911 hang up in the Nevada area.

Kathleen M. Mireles, 25, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear in bates county and failure to appear in Nevada. She was released on a $580 bond.

Michael D. Nichols, 23, of Lamar, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of probation violation in Pettis County. He is being held in lieu of a $1,500 bond.

Margaret E. Ashton, 44, of Sheldon, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of failure to appear for passing bad checks in Cole County. She was released on a $200 bond.

Teresa G. Knisley, 38, of Moundville, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of domestic assault. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Aug. 18

There were reports of a burglary in progress in the Nevada area, harassment in the Walker area, a controlled burn in the Nevada area, a careless driver in the Nevada area, trash dumping in the Nevada area, a fire in a field in the Nevada area, a civil matter in the Bronaugh area, a cat bite in the Nevada area, a civil dispute in the Moundville area, a vehicle accident in the St. Clair County area, a drunk driver in the Nevada area and an abandoned vehicle in the Nevada area.

Nathan W. Waymen, 30, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of parole violation. He is being held without bond.

Gary W. Drake, 27, of Schell City, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Deparment on charges of probation violation. He was released on a $5,000 bond.
