El Dorado Springs man killed in Feb. 4 one-vehicle crash on U.S. 54
An El Dorado Springs man died from his injuries in a one-vehicle crash that occurred on U.S. 54 Highway, about six miles west of El Dorado Springs early Wednesday morning.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 28-year-old Clarence W. Bartram was traveling east on U.S. 54 at about 4:30 a.m., when the 1996 Dodge Ram pickup he was driving went off the roadway, struck and embankment and overturned. The report did not speculate as to why the vehicle left the roadway.
Bartram was transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Parton.
Bartram was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.
This is the 15th traffic fatality of 2009 to take place in the Patrol's Troop D area, which serves Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Hickory, Jasper, Lawrence, McDon-ald, Newton, Polk, St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Vernon, and Webster counties.
Last year at this time, 19 traffic fatalities had been reported by Troop D.
