Flood, flash flood risk continues

Heavy rain throughout southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri has caused river waters to rise; and continuing rainfall is expected to keep water levels up, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS also warns that, given the saturation of soil, any additional amount "could easil result in flash flooding" or additional river flooding in both Kansas and Missouri. A flash flood watch is to remain in effect for southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks, through Sunday evening.
Flood warnings also remain in effect for rivers in Vernon County, Mo.; the Marmation River near Nevada, until latee Monday night; the Little Osage River nearHortion, until some time Monday morning; and the Osage River near Schell City, until further notice.
