Tiger Pit claims another state title

The Nevada Tiger Pit Wrestling team claimed another state championship last weekend at the two-day Missouri State Freestyle and Greco-Roman Championships, in Sedalia, Mo. Hunter Balk became the third state champion of the year for the club by winning the Missouri State Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships. Hunter went 9-1 at the wrestling tournament and was also the State Freestyle Runner-up. Dayton Miller also competed well in the two wrestling styles. Miller took fourth in Freestyle and third in Greco. The Tiger Pit wrestling club has now completed its competitive season. They will be taking a couple of weeks off and then head to Ken Chertow's one-week wrestling camp at Baker University. --Submitted Photo
