Tiger baseball rained out
The Nevada Tigers varsity baseball team felt the wrath of Mother Nature again Tuesday afternoon as their regular season home finale was called off due to afternoon thunderstorms.
That contest was scheduled to be Senior Day as well, but lightning and more of the same soaking rains that most around the area have become accustomed to forced school officials to cancel the game. The Tigers were scheduled to face the McDonald County Mustangs Tuesday afternoon in what was scheduled to be the final home game of the year.
Despite the rainout, the Tigers are still set to end the regular season against the same opponent as Nevada High School Athletic Director Kevin McKinley announced Tuesday that a prior game against the Mustangs that was rained out has been officially rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon in Anderson, Mo.
The varsity contest will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the JV to follow.
