Bushwhacker Days committee members scurry about to get their information booth packed up before abandoning the Square due to threatening weather. Severe thunderstorms again tore through Vernon and surrounding counties on Wednesday, putting a stop to Bushwhacker Days festivities in Nevada and generating several reports of funnel clouds. Around 6 p.m., tornado warnings were issued in Schell City and Walker, with funnel cloud sightings reported near Harwood and Walker, but the storm quickly waned; more tornadic activity continued in counties to the north and east. --Ralph Pokorny/Daily Mail
