Dog wash raises funds

Lewis Carter and Lottie Young, Vernon County People for Pets volunteers, give Kirby, a Boston terrier, a bath Saturday morning at Orscheln Farm and Home. In addition to giving dogs a bath and flea dip, they also had several dogs available for adoption, as well as, hot dogs and drinks. By 1 p.m. they had bathed 20 dogs, including two large mastiffs and gained two new volunteers and a foster family for dogs. --Ralph Pokorny/Daily Mail
