Storm brings flooding

Water inches closer to BB Highway Thursday afternoon. In Barton County, Highway K and Highway V were closed due to high water. The National Weather Service is forecasting moderate flooding of the Marmaton River, which is expected to crest at 27.5 feet on Saturday. Flood stage is 20 feet, and at 28 feet, the river impacts U.S 54 Highway. The Osage River near Schell City is expected to crest Saturday at 32 feet. Flood stage for that river is 30 feet. --Lynn A.
