Veterans Day activities

Local high schools are taking the time to honor veterans in special programs on Wednesday.

Nevada High School is having an assembly in the high school gym at 11 a.m.

Bronaugh Schools are having an assembly in the gym at 8:30 a.m.

Northeast Vernon County Schools are having an assembly in the Walker gym at 9 a.m. Barney Fisher will be the speaker, a group from Whiteman AFB will be on hand with a flag folding demonstration and some military vehicles on display.

Sheldon High School will have an assembly at 10 a.m. in the gym. Brian Nuding will be the speaker.
