Nevada Middle School basketball defeats Neosho

NEVADA, Mo. -- The Nevada Middle School eighth grade boys basketball A and B teams both showed very strong performances in victory over Neosho Thursday night.

In the B game, the Tigers more than doubled the opposition's point total in a 32-15 victory. Bryant McKinley led the offensive effort for Nevada with 11 points.

The A game was an even more one-sided affair as Neosho was simply unable to keep pace on the offensive end of the floor, allowing the Tigers to pick up a 40-18 victory. Lane Ketterman led the Tiger offense with 15 points.

With those victories, the A team improved their overall record to 4-2 on the year while the B team jumped to 3-3. The Tigers are scheduled to get back into action again on Monday as they host Lamar.
