Bronaugh schools held 2010 Homecoming festivities on Friday, Feb. 5, as planned, even though the scheduled opponent could not make it to the game. Bronaugh students and staff rallied around and made the best of an unfortunate situation, school officials said, and they decided to go ahead with the celebration since the school was decorated and a hog roast was under way. An alumni game against the varsity teams was played, and the gymnasium was filled to standing-room-only capacity. A fund-raising dinner was sold out, and a silent auction benefiting the school's character education program was held. At the end of the evening, the coronation was held, with Kaylee Woody as Queen and Wesley Smith as King. Other members of the court were not identified. --submitted photo
