Tiger tennis defeats Carl Junction

The Tigers won their season opener over Carl Junction with a score of 8-1 overall. In singles competition, Dominic Habjan defeated Carl Junction's Jory Mertens 8-0, Jordan McCall won 8-3 over Zach Waranch, Colton Hardy lost 8-5 to Andrew Wheeler, Josh Lowry won 8-1 over Garrett Easson, Doug Decoq won 8-2 over Stijn Dobbelaere 8-2, and Andrew Arneson defeated Troy Lawson 8-2. In doubles, Habjan and Tyler Dobson won 8-2 over Mertens and Easson, Hardy and Lowry won 8-4 over Waranch and Wheeler, and McCall and Arneson won 8-4 over Dobbelaere and Lawson.

In JV singles play, Matt Stiles defeated Troy Lawson 6-3, Aaron Jenkins won 6-2 over Dillan Minta, Silas Smith won 6-5 over Spencer Yates, Jarrek Rankin lost 6-1 to Kurry Mertens, and Cory Steele defeated Alex Smith 6-4. In JV doubles play, Stiles and Jenkins won 6-1 over Yates and Minta, and Smith and Rankin lost 6-3 Carl Junction's Guido and K. Mertens.
