McKenzie takes oath of office

Nevada city clerk Julie Lewis swears in James McKenzie for his fourth term on the Nevada City Council Friday morning after the council voted 5-0 to adopt Resolution No. 1283 certifying McKenzie as the winner of Tuesday's city council election. The council elected Jayne Novak as mayor for the upcoming year and Brian Leonard as mayor pro-tem. -Ralph Pokorny/Daily Mail
