Community Center grand opening Thursday

A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center will be conducted at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 22.

The community center boasts two basketball courts with eight total goals, game room complete with pool table, foosball table and Nintendo Wii; meeting and party room, a full kitchen, concession stand, Zumba classes and Yoga classes, along with many other programs. The facility also is completely Wi-Fi accessible.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.-9 p.m., with the office opening at 8 a.m.; 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. on Sunday.

The entrance is located on the east side of the building.
