Wesley "Wes" Anderson
Wesley "Wes" Anderson, age 50, died Friday, June 11, 2010.
He was the minister of the First Christian Church in Baldwyn, Miss. He was formerly of Memphis, Tenn.
He was an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow and a graduate of Ozark Christian College.
He was the past chaplain of the Vernon County Sheriff's Office in Nevada, Mo.
Anderson also was a speaker for the victims impact panel in Nevada, and was on the board of the Osage Prairie YMCA in Nevada. He loved camping, fishing and playing golf.
Funeral services were held Sunday, at the First Christian Church in Baldwyn, preceded by visitation, with Joe Carraway officiating.
Services also were held Monday, at the New Hope Christian Church in Bartlett, Tenn., with visitation preceding. Pastor Scott Greer officiated. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Bruegger Anderson of Baldwyn, his parents, Paul and Effie (Betty) Anderson of Millington, Tenn., his step-son Steven Jones of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Paul Anderson Jr. of Millington, Tenn., and James Allen Anderson of Arlington, Tenn.; his mother and father-in-law, Virgil and Mary Bruegger of Baldwyn.
Pall bearers were Mark Harker, Mike Stevens, Robin Roberts, Mark Baker and Steven Jones, D.D. Freeland, Richard Nabers and Phillip Horton.
