Social Security announces e-Services Week, Aug. 9-13

Thursday, August 5, 2010

For 75 years, the Social Security Administration has been committed to providing quality customer service and has recently adopted a "Go Green" mission.

In recognition of this effort, the week of Aug. 9-13 has been proclaimed Social Security eServices Week by Jayne Novak, mayor of Nevada; and Sherry Brown, mayor of Bronaugh.

During the week, the Nevada field office will be conducting a variety of activities designed to highlight the agency's online offerings and how they benefit both the public and the environment. eServices currently allow users to file disability and retirement claims online, get proof of a benefit amount, make changes to direct deposit, replace their Medicare card, use benefit planners, and much more.

Residents of Vernon, Barton, Bates, Cedar, St. Clair, and Henry counties may call the office at (888) 808-5441 stop by the office at 120 S. Commerce Drive, Nevada; or visit www.socialsecurity.gov to learn more.
