Sheldon volleyball defeats Golden City

GOLDEN CITY, Mo. -- The Sheldon Lady Panthers volleyball team got its season under way Monday night with a JV/varsity doubleheader against the Golden City High School Lady Eagles Monday night.

Head coach Tyler Judd's Lady Panthers won the varsity match in three sets, taking the first and last sets by the final scores of 25-11 and 25-17, while dropping the second set 25-13. The two squads played just one JV set and Golden City took a 25-17 victory.

With the win, the Lady Panthers got the season started with a 1-0 record and were set to be back in action Tuesday, taking on NEVC and Ballard in a triangular match at Walker.
