Nevada Regional Technical Center's Agricultural Instructor, Bryan Gast, demonstrates how to properly fabricate a chicken to the NRTC's Culinary Arts students. Fabrication involves cutting and deboning chicken into eight pieces. The chicken was grown by Mr. Gast's Ag classes then cooked and served by the NRTC Culinary Arts students for the annual Advisory Committee dinner. Eggs that were from laying chickens cared for by Ag students were used to make a pumpkin crème brulée. Advisory Committees are made up of local community and business experts who provide advice and guidance for the technical education programs offered at the NRTC. Culinary Arts is taught by Louise Lunkenheimer. For more information about Agriculture Education or Culinary Arts, please call the Tech Center at (417) 448-2090.
