Edward "Ed" Hulse
Edward "Ed" Hulse, 56, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, in Fort Worth.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 8, at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Werth Mayes and Jeff Andis officiating. Interment followed at the Indian Creek Cemetery in Erath County. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Ed was born on July 23, 1954, to the late Edward and Vida Gardner Hulse. He married Lynn Darby on Aug. 29, 1985, in Stephenville. Ed has resided in Stephenville for the past 25 years after previously living in Missouri. He was a long time employee of Poston Feed Mill. Ed loved the chuck wagon and was an all- around cowboy. In September, he graduated from Auctioneering School completing his life-long dream. Ed was also a member of the Selden Fire Department and the Fire Chief in past years.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn; daughter, Buffy Jane Bass and husband, Justin, of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; grandson, Brayden Bass; step-daughter Tricia Thompson and husband, Bryan Owen; brother, Harold Hulse and wife, Florence, of Independence, Mo.; mother-in-law, Pat Darby; brother-in-law, John Darby and wife, Sandy; sister-in-law, Lisa West and husband, Johnny; brother-in-law, Jerry Reedy; sister-in-law, Donna Hulse ; best friend, Norm Caja; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenda Reedy; brother, Lowell Hulse; and father-in-law, John Darby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a fund set up in Ed Hulse's name to Mack Holt at First National Bank of Hico P.O. Box 248 Hico, Texas 76457.
