John W. "Johnny" Womack Jr.

John W. "Johnny" Womack Jr., 58, of Iola, Kan., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, in the emergency room at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. He was born April 21, 1952, in San Diego, Calif., the son of John Walter Womack Sr. and Elizabeth Ann "Betty Ann" (Sanden) Womack.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola.

The Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m., followed by the Mass at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, both at St. John's Catholic Church in Iola. The Rev. Robert B. Wachter will be officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kan.

Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Fairboard or Allen County Animal Rescue Foundation and may be left with the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola, which is in charge of arrangements.
