Tuesday, June 28, 2011
A June 24 reception marking the opening of an exhibit of the works of Nevada artist Kathleen Day, in the white blouse and scarf, touched off lively banter at the Art Shop gallery at 104 E. Cherry St. with, from left, Robert Smith, Ricci Wood, Andrew McNair, Johannes and Carol Brann and Jason Claspill. The painting, incorporating "found materials" from around town, is titled "Past and Future." Day's exhibit is open to the public and will be in place through July 20.
