Fourteen arrested on Bourbon County drug warrants
Fourteen people were arrested Friday morning on drug charges in a warrant service operation organized by the Southeast Kansas Drug Task Force, according to a news release issued by the Fort Scott Police Department.
The joint investigation, involving the Fort Scott Police Department, Bourbon County Sheriff's Office, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and Kansas Highway Patrol, resulted in the arrests on warrants for violation of drug laws of the state of Kansas. The suspects are currently in the Southeast Kansas Regional Correctional Facility.
The 14 arrested include Fort Scott residents Daniel Robinson, 53; Avious Steadman, 28; Dashonna Johnson, 32; Tiffany Clark, 29; Lacey Bealer, 45; Jeremy Santmyer, 38; Billy Nuzum, 22; Charles Trimble Jr., 30; and John More, 47, the release said.
Also taken into custody were Bourbon County residents Jaramie Winningham, 34; Lisa Hendrix, 46; Bryan Hendrix, 25; and Michael Hendrix, 23. Additionally, 29-year-old Bambi Lewis, Tonganoxie, Kan., was arrested, the release said.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected. All the listed subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the release said.
