Robert Edgar Sneed

Robert Edgar Sneed, 78, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, following a brief illness. He was born May 5, 1933, in Cleveland County, Okla., to Harvey Sneed and Edna French Sneed. He married Patricia Smith and she preceded him in death in 1999.

Robert grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Maysville High School, Maysville, Okla., in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in Korea. Robert lived and worked in California most of his life as a carpenter. He has lived in Nevada since 2008.

Survivors include his companion, Dorothy McCoy, of the home; two brothers, Kenneth Sneed and his wife, Carol, and Earl Sneed, all of Sheldon, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, LaDora Mead.

A private family service will be held at a later date under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
