National Pink Heals Tour to visit Nevada today
The pink fire trucks are coming!
The Nevada Fire Department is teaming up with the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Guardian of the Ribbons to bring the National Pink Heals Tour to Nevada.
A single truck from the Kansas City group has visited Nevada twice already this year; this time there'll be more, accompanied by pink-garbed firefighters with pink turnout gear, all in support of women who've faced or are now facing a battle against cancer.
The tour is highlighting the "Cares Enough to Wear Pink Campaign," and the pink brigade is expected to arrive at the northeast end of the Wal-Mart parking lot in Nevada some time around 5 p.m. and will stay until 7. Times may vary.
While the trucks are here, firefighters said, women, or their friends and families can sign one of the trucks, which serve as mobile tributes to all those whose names are written on them.
