Thursday, November 17, 2011

Roberto Santillan has trouble with the English language, but he had no problem recognizing a $100,000 prize on his Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Santillan, 56, bought a "$100,000 Payday Bonus" Scratchers ticket at Fastrip, 301 W. Central Ave., in Carthage.

After uncovering the top prize on the ticket, he made his way to the Springfield Lottery office on Nov. 14 to claim it.

Santillan claimed the seventh top prize in the game, which has two top prizes and more than $5 million in smaller prizes remaining, according to a Missouri Lottery press release.

"$100,000 Payday Bonus" is a $5 game that officially began July 2. The Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket is the first to feature play areas on both the front and back of the ticket.

Players can track prizes remaining for this and every Scratchers game at Molottery.com.
