Drawing at chamber event benefits cancer relief group

The Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce held a Fourth Friday Coffee at Jenny's California Cafe, located on the East side of the Nevada Square. A crowd of about 30 people stopped to enjoy the pastries, to network with colleagues and take a chance on winning two tickets to the upcoming Vernon County Cancer Relief benefit that will take place Feb. 11.

The chamber of commerce purchased two tickets for the benefit for a drawing at the event; and all the money collected from ticket sales went to the Vernon County Cancer Relief Fund.

The lucky winner of the two tickets was Judy Feuquay, CEO of Nevada Regional Medical Center.

A total of $76 was collected and donated to VCCR via board bember Mike Turnbull. The next Fourth Friday coffee will be held at Airwaves Communications on Feb. 24.
