Nevada wrestling team tops Buffalo
BUFFALO, Mo. -- The Nevada High School wrestling team defeated Buffalo 50-15 on Thursday night in the final dual of the season.
Nevada begins district tournament action next Friday at Clinton.
The Tigers lost only three matches on Thursday against Buffalo.
At 106 pounds, both teams were open.
Slade Stiles of Nevada won by forfeit at 113 and Daxtyn Osburn won by forfeit at 120.
Johnathon Ireland won by forfeit at 132, and Tanner Charles won by tech fall at 132.
Next, Kyle Bennett won by fall at 138 and Zach Shepherd won by fall at 145.
Next, Dalton Shunkwiler lost by decision at 152, but Austin Huggins won by fall at 160.
Both teams were open at 170.
Nevada's Lucas Denman lost by fall at 182 and Colby Smith won by decision at 195.
Levi Wilson won by fall at 220 and Tucker Wingert lost by fall to Buffalo at heavyweight.
