Thursday, February 9, 2012

The Nevada Super Heroes of Kindness paid the Nevada City Council a visit during Tuesday's council meeting to present the council members with a certificate and red Valentines signed by all the Super Heros from St. Mary's, as well as to receive a Mayor's Proclamation from Mayor Brian Leonard in recognition of Random Acts of Kindness Week, Feb. 13 through Feb. 17.

According to the proclamation: no one, no matter how young or how small, is too little to make a difference in our community and our world, and: Whereas, through random acts of kindness, we can promote healthy behaviors and positive dynamics within our community, and; Whereas, we seek to cultivate caring, kindness and compassion within our community through our youth by teaching them to make a difference through Random Acts of Kindness.
