NHS baseball opener postponed due to rain

NEVADA -- The Nevada Tigers were scheduled to begin the 2012 baseball season on Thursday with a home date with Joplin. The recent rain wiped it out.

Thursday's date was postponed and no make-up date has been announced.

The Tigers are scheduled to host Sherwood on Saturday at noon.

Also of note, the NHS track team hosts the Nevada Relays on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. with the field events.
