W.P. Adams
W.P. Adams, 80, Nevada, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Medicalodge of Nevada. He was born on Feb. 28, 1932, in Rockville, Mo., to B.C. Adams and Iva Beatrice Richardson Adams.
W.P. was raised in the Rockville and Pappinville areas where he attended Prairie City School. W.P. served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He drove a truck for more than 20 years. He had lived in Nevada the past 10 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Adams, Pawhuska, Okla., Tammy Kurtz and her husband, Gary, Nevada, and Karol Adams, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; five grandchildren, Lee Masters, Shalene Gordon, Kourtney Post, Kacip Kurtz, and Emma Adams; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Adams, Nevada; three sisters, Lorene Spillman and her husband, Lloyd, Nevada, Dorothy Steuck and her husband, J.F., Rich Hill, Mo., and Darlene Baertschi and her husband, Charles, Hamilton, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m.-7 p.m., Thursday, May 3, prior to the service at 7 p.m., at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada. Contributions may be made to the Vernon County Cancer Relief Fund or to Vernon County People for Pets in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
