Season ends for boys tennis team

WARRENSBURG -- The season came to an end for the Nevada High School boys tennis team on Saturday at the Class 1, District 12 singles and doubles tournament at Warrensburg.

No member of the team was able to advance. Colton Short won his first round match, but then lost in the second round. Andrew Arneson had a bye in the first round and then lost in the second round. Nevada's doubles team lost in the first round.

The top finishers in singles were Nicholas Piontek and Joseph Bliss of Warrensburg. The top two doubles teams were Warrensburg's duo of Austin Doyle and Corey Chaplin and Clinton's Aaron Hunt and Alan Shriner.
