Kids Triathlon is Friday at YMCA

The Osage Prairie YMCA will host the 3rd annual Kids Triathlon this Friday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m. This free event will encourage kids 3 to 12 years old to have fun while getting fit. This challenge will include a swim, bike and run. After crossing the finish line, each athlete will receive a medal, slushie and enter their race number in a drawing for a new bike. Event distances are based upon age and skill level. Each triathlete must wear a bike helmet. Training wheels and life jackets are allowed. Those interested can sign-up at the YMCA prior to the event.

Last year's event drew 85 kids, organizers said.
