Roger R. Stone

Roger R. Stone, 80, Nevada, formerly of Milo, Mo., passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Medicalodge in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. He was born March 18, 1932, in McCook, Neb., to Harry V. Stone and Myrtle Bales Stone.

Roger was raised in McCook, Neb. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Army and was in Korea from 1952-1954 where he received two Bronze Stars. He then settled in the Milo area where he lived and farmed most of his life.

Survivors include three children, Rolena Buazard and her husband, Don, Drexel, Mo., Roger Stone Jr. and his wife, Debbie, Lockwood, Mo., and Patricia Stone, Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren, Amber, Brittany, Jacob and Amelia; one brother, Larry Stone; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 26, at Ferry Funeral Home. Interment will follow with military rites at Moore Cemetery in Nevada. Friends may call Friday afternoon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
