Mildred E. (Moore) Wales
Mildred E. (Moore) Wales, 87, Nevada, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. She was born June 11, 1925, in Passaic, Mo., to Grover and Bessie Mae (Durbin) Moore.
Mildred attended school in Foster, Mo. She worked many jobs before her 25 year career at Nevada State Hospital, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Fairview Community Church and the Church of Christ in Nevada. She volunteered at Community Outreach, and Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, and was active in the American Legion Post No. 2. Mildred was a generous person, supporting many charities including the American Diabetes Association and the Disabled Veterans. Her pride and joy was having family and friends around her. She loved collecting dolls and baking.
Mildred will be greatly missed by her children, Daniel Moore, Kansas City, Mo., Cheryl Lorenz of Fulton, Mo., Connie Martin of Columbia, Mo., Sandra Pippin, Robert Schnedler and his wife, Linda, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Schnedler, all of Nevada, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Jackie Nichols and her husband, Shawn of Fortuna, Calif., and Judy Nichols and her husband, Darrell of Humansville, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Bryant of Deer Park, Texas. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wales; three sons, Roger, Richard and Rodney Schnedler; three brothers, Harold, Fred and Grover Moore; and two sisters, Rannie Cummings and Minni Luety.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Burt Travis officiating. Interment will follow at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home today, between 7 and 8 p.m.
