Dry as a bone

It's dry everywhere -- even below the surface. Carl Dobyns, supervisor on the Meadow Lane sewer project, said that while digging this mostly dry and dusty, 16-foot deep trench last week, workers did not find any moisture until the trench was about 4 feet deep. He said there is a little water at the bottom of the trench, but not enough that it requires pumping.
