Due to the remnants of Hurricane Isaac due to move into southern Missouri Friday, Nevada High School athletic director Kevin McKinley has been forced to make some changes to the Friday sports schedules.

The Nevada Tigers football squad that was originally scheduled to play Willard at 7 p.m., Friday, will now host the Tigers at Logan Field tonight at 7. Nevada's freshman, JV and varsity volleyball teams will still be in action Friday at Nevada Middle School, but to avoid conflicts, McKinley said the freshman and JV games will both be played at 5 p.m., and the varsity match is set to start at 6.

As for Thursday's Nevada Lady Tigers softball game, no changes have been reported and head coach Tammy Holcomb's squad is still set to take on Lamar at 5 p.m. Nevada Lady Tigers head golf coach Brian Leonard also told the Daily Mail that the Lady Tiger Invitational golf tournament is still scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m., Friday.
