Tuesday, September 11, 2012
The tradition of funding "the houses potatoes built," continues on Wednesday, with a baked potato luncheon benefiting Nevada Area Habitat for Humanity.
The luncheon features a baked potato with trimmings, a slice of homemade fruit, cream or pecan pie, and will be served 11 a.m.-12-30 p.m., Wednesday, at the First Christian Church youth building on Austin Boulevard, Nevada, for a donation of $6.
Deliveries also are available and may be ordered by sending a fax to (417) 667-3508, or by phone at (417) 684-2666, before 10:30 a.m., Wednesday.
Funds raised will be used to help fund the construction of the next Habitat for Humanity home.
