Rich Hill football falls at Drexel

DREXEL, Mo. -- The Bobcats of Drexel bounced back from a loss to Cass-Midway last week by routing Rich Hill, 54-8, Friday night at Drexel High School.

The Bobcats scored on a 6-yard run by Tyler Allen on their first possession and added a second TD with 4 minutes remaining in the first quarter on Trevor Stewart's 5-yard run. Drexel widened its advantage to 42-0 at the half with four touchdowns during the second quarter, including a 27-yard interception return by Brandon Thomas.

Bobcats quarterback Jayvn Johnson scored two touchdowns, rushed for 177 yards and completed five passes for another 94 yards as Drexel improved to 5-1 fon the season. Rich Hill scored with less than 2 minutes remaining on a 5-yard run by Riley Cameron and Bryant Courter hit Josh Robb with a pass on the two-point conversion.

The Tigers are 0-6 and are to return home next Friday night to take on Cass-Midway.
