Police Reports Oct. 31-Nov. 4
October 31
There was a report of a vehicle theft in the 200 block of South Alma Street. A 1997 red Ford truck that was in a fenced-in area was reported stolen from a business. Three male juveniles were seen in the area. The truck was later located at South and Ash.
4 p.m.: An accident occurred in a parking lot south of Hunter Street involving a pickup driven by Norman N. Highley, Nevada, and a car owned by Arthur Gillette, Nevada. No injuries were reported.
November 1
10:45 a.m.: An accident occurred at Walnut and Chestnut streets involving a car driven by Linda M. Lee, Fort Scott, Kan., and a motorcycle driven by Michael A. Ponzini, Nevada. No injuries were repoted.
12:42 p.m.: An accident occurred at Route BB and U.S. 54 Highway involving a car driven by Whitney L. Stone, Nevada, and an SUV driven by Tanden R. Mason, Milo, Mo. No injuries were reported.
12:53 p.m.: An accident occurred at U.S. 54 Highway and Underpass Street involving a pickup driven by Gary L. Froehlich, Osceola, Mo., and a pickup driven by Michael P. Clemmons, El Dorado Springs, Mo. No injuries were reported.
There was a report of a petty theft from a motor vehicle in the 900 block of East Subway Boulevard. An HP laptop was reported stolen from a secured 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. Entrance was gained by breaking out a window.
There was a report of a second-degree burglary in the 600 block of East Cherry Street. There was an unlawful entry through the back door. Video determined the suspect is a white male.
There was a report of a second-degree burglary in the 1300 block of East Austin Boulevard. An unlawful entry was reported through a business' back door. A camera was reported stolen.
November 4
There was a report of a vehicle theft in the 1400 block of East Austin Boulevard. A black 2011 Chevrolet Impala was reported stolen from a local car dealership. A suspect was arrested by Joplin police driving the stolen vehicle. Local warrants are pending.
November 5
12:10 p.m.: A one-vehicle accident occurred at Business 71 Highway and Hickory Street when a car driven by Rine Arumets, Sheldon, Mo., struck a light pole. No injuries were reported.
