Special election for Nevada City Council today

Nevada voters will go to the polls today to choose which of two candidates, Mike Smith or Lance Christie, will serve on the Nevada City Council, in the seat vacated by Sherry Steward, who resigned because she moved out of the city limits earlier this year.

Polls will be open at the First Baptist Church, the home economics building at Centennial Park fairgrounds, the United Methodist Church, the National Guard Armory and the Osage Prairie YMCA, 6 a.m.-7 p.m., today.
