Feeding the community

3M Nevada LifeStyles Committee and employees collected 6,230 lbs of non-perishable food during its annual food drive campaign. This is the seventh year 3M's LifeStyles Committee has asked its employees to donate food to the local food pantry. The food drive is a contest between the various departments in 3M to see which one can collect the most pounds. 3M's Maker 46 department has won the honor of collecting the most food based on number of employees in the department for the last six years. The employees in this department alone collected 4,530 pounds. The department with second place honors was 3M's maintenance department. The end result is collecting a large amount of food supplies to donate to the firm's local Community Outreach program.
