Performing arts center gets off the ground

Work on the new performing arts center at Nevada High School continues, with steel girders rising from the base. The arts center is being constructed on location of the parking lot on the north side of the building. In addition to the work on the performing arts center, earthwork is underway for the multi-purpose building, west of Wynn Gymnasium. When complete it will provide a second basketball court on-site to allow a second game to be played without using the Middle School or the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center.
